In 2015, a federal court ruled that when children leave Texas’ foster care system, they “almost uniformly leave State custody more damaged than when they entered.” Today, the TCCB, Catholic Charities Fort Worth, and the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston are testifying in support of reform to help Texas’ 29,000 foster children.

Prayer for the Legislature
Senator Eddie Lucio, Jr. and his staff have invited Catholics from throughout the state to join them in praying the rosary, using Facebook live streaming. The rosary is offered at 8 a.m. every Wednesday, through the end of the session.

The TCCB's website hosts our public positions on bills. All bill positions are under the “Master List” tab as well as by our legislative agenda categories.
Please join more than 4,000 fellow Texas Catholics on April 4 at the State Capitol, when we will stand together as we witness as faithful citizens! Adults, middle school students and high school students will be participating in events, including visiting legislators, praying with our bishops and attending a rally on the south steps of the Capitol.
